Chelsea recall Ugochukwu from France Olympic squad

The French Football Federation (FFF) has announced that Chelsea has recalled Lesley Ugochukwu from the France Olympic squad. Ugochukwu was initially selected for the under-23 tournament but did not make it into the final 18-man squad. However, Olympic football rules allow for up to four replacements to be made during the tournament, provided they are replacing injured players. Ugochukwu joined Chelsea from Rennes last summer and has been considered for a loan move. Chelsea is set to go on a pre-season tour in the U.S. while Ugochukwu’s national team, France, will compete in Group A of the tournament.
